![]() So, good luck to you with the learning and tests.Driving studies in Iceland are based on a study schedule created by the Icelandic Transport Authority. So my advice is if u r like me and have no time seeping thru books, then online tests are the best and very motivating, with pictures of cars, motorcycles and sign posts, feels like real driving situation and that is good. So first time lucky!!Īs I registered to do the theory test, I had no worries at all and it only cost 20 euros, so even if I had failed I wld have repaid n redone it. Within one month, I did the computerised theory test once and passed, did some more driving hrs and did the practical test with a sweet examiner(female)who my instructor sweet talked the whole time and passed as well. I had a book as well but never turned a single page, since the online tests had everything.Īfter mastering a quarter of the several and different and driving German "Reglement"(rules)and signs(most of which do not exist in my home country or are ignored!!), i then asked my instructor to take me on the road. Since the qns turn up again in another test, thru repetition, road signs, driving upcountry, etc, thou this does not take long if u do thirty minutes a day.Īfter you answer a qn u immediately see your result, failed and passed qns. I must have answered more than 1000 qns since the online tests have different sections, e.g. This was made up of all the various questions that are asked during the computer test at TÜV. My instructor gave me an online password that I then used to access the online learning tests from, Plus trial timed tests. The test itself is only 30 questions if I remember correctly and can be taken in English. ![]() So a "more important" question can count more or hurt your overall score more. Each question is also weighed differently. For instance, 1 question has 3 out of 4/5 (i forget, sorry!) options that all must be selected to be considered the "correct" answer. here in Germany these "written" tests are multiple answer questions. I even found that some of the answers are actually wrongly translated as "correct" but actually wrong if you think about it, just memorize them as they are in these practice tests and you'll be fine. What is great about this one is that all the several hundred worth of possible questions that may be on the exam, all of them are exactly as in the online practice tests. I took the course at the English-speaking Fahrschule which I found helpful as well as bought the book from there. The Lehrbuch is in English and is paperback. You have to login online to go through the course practice sections and tests, this way they ensure that only one person uses it per purchase I suppose. I used the Fahren Lernen Max B mit Lehrbuch by Vogel. But I want to get over the first hurdle for now. Not sure about the practical yet, but I guess then I have to register with the driving school. Hence trying to get it cheaper and then I can directly register with the Fuhrerschein office for the exam. The person at the Fuhrerschein office asked me to contact the local driving school, but the local driving school I have doesn't speak very good English and also they expect me to pay 200 Euros for registration and 100 euros for the English study book which I don't feel is reasonable. If someone already has purchased recently and willing to resell, I would be glad to buy. It would be great if someone could point me in the right direction here? Book names or CD names? Where to buy? Etc. I have looked a lot searching online, I have found a few websites, but I don't know if they are worth? On Amazon and Ebay, almost everything that I found seems to be in German, and since everything is written in German, translation on google chrome helps a lot, but still I can't find books/CD's in English. I want to take the driver licence exam in English and I have been searching for books and CD's for learning and practice before I register for the exam. I have taken a lot of help from this forum, through google search.
